I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family this time last year! Their babe is almost a year old. This session is what grew my love for maternity even further than it already had as I was also expecting when these images took place. Also, this location is one of my absolute favorites for Maternity Sessions in San Diego, CA!

Milk Bath Sitter Session

Novalee's First Milk Bath Session!

As a photog mom, you dream of all of the sessions you can do with your children. One of those for me is Milk Baths! This Saturday we took a trip to Little Italy's Farmer's market and picked up some flowers.  We made it home pretty late but wasted no time!

 Right as the sun was setting we made a set up in the back yard and got Nova undressed as quickly as we could. Heated up some water and plucked the flowers. 

While it wasn't an ideal time of the day (ISO was riding 2k!!!) I still love these sooo much.

I was so excited to get to use the bonnet I hand-sewed for her!

I am SO grateful to have photographed this engaged couple not only for their homecoming but for a couples session after! 

We started communication while he was on deployment and she was back home getting things ready for his arrival. Booking flights, hotels, and other adventures including where to go shopping for their wedding bands. 

Anticipation for the Homecoming quickly came and went as soon as she had her sailor back in her arms. 

This session took place a week after his homecoming to give them the opportunity to let the nerves settle.

My lovely friend and fellow photographer, Kelsey Bieler, invited me to the super bloom! She had gone just weeks prior before all the tourists started coming. By the time we got to make the trip, most of the poppies had died out or were trampled... It was sad to see but we rocked it by taking self-portraits! Here are some of mine. 

Here are some images I was able to capture of Kelsey and her little man! 

On our way home, we also stopped and saw this AMAZING boulder location! We stopped for some more photos. 

And of course... there was a full rainbow around the sun! We had to stop for a 3rd time to document this with our rainbow babes.
